China shares open slightly lower Wednesday

Shares in the Chinese mainland opened slightly lower Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 2.32 points or 0.08 percent to open at 3,048.20.

The Shenzhen Component Index fell slightly by 11.83 points or 0.09 percent to open at 12,635.7.
